  • Transit Custom has now won more than 25 awards since it was launched, including International Van of the Year two times, and six overall Van of the Year titles

DUNTON, Essex, Feb. 6, 2020 – More than 300,000 Transit Custom vehicles have been sold in the UK since it was launched at the end of 2012, which has now won more than 25 awards including International Van of the Year two times and six overall Van of the Year titles.

The Transit Custom Plug-in Hybrid has been named Van Fleet World Van of the Year and Green Van of the Year at the Great British Fleet awards 2020, sealing the Van Manufacturer of the Year title for Ford. These additional awards come as Ford records its best-ever January on record for UK Commercial Vehicle sales with 8,700 vehicles sold. Three of the top four best-selling commercial vehicles in January are part of the Transit range.

Ford, now in its 55th year of CV market leadership in the UK, has surpassed its previous annual sales record twice in the last four years and remains the best-selling Commercial Vehicle brand in Europe. More than 135,000 Transit Customs were sold across the continent in 2019 – 39 per cent of those in the UK.

Ford’s full commercial vehicle range will once again be on display at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham.
